Instruments

Students with their instrumentsDayJams offers campers the opportunity to study guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, vocals or horns with professional musicians and teachers in a friendly and creative curriculum-based environment. Focusing on their chosen instrument for the week, campers are placed in group classes based on musical experience and proficiency. They attend instrument class twice a day, and every camper is challenged to improve on their instrument of choice for the week.

Absolute beginners are welcome at DayJams, but we do ask that horn players have at least 2 years experience on sax, trombone, or trumpet. Electric guitar and bass players are asked to bring their instrument, a small practice amp, and a cable. Drummers should bring their favorite set of sticks, as we provide drum kits and percussion instruments. Keyboard players and vocalists will have the gear they need on campus.
