CAMPER CODE OF CONDUCT
Our Code of Conduct is not meant to keep you from having fun. When everyone works together and is respectful of each other and the equipment, we all have a great time. We are positive by the time you leave the stage after your Friday night concert, your parents, friends, teachers, and the camp Director will be proud of you… and most of all, you are going to be proud of yourself!
Absolutely NO smoking, drugs, or alcohol on campus.
No vulgar or obscene language or curse words allowed, and no vulgar or obscene words, phrases, or symbols allowed on any article of clothing or any other article brought to DayJams.
Any type of verbal abuse, fighting, pushing, stealing (no “finders’ keepers”), or use of other students’ or faculty members’ musical equipment or personal property without prior permission will result in dismissal.
Being disrespectful of adults and/or staff will result in dismissal.
If you made a request to be in a band with specific campers prior to registration and a mistake has been made, talk to your camp Director as soon as possible on Monday, preferably before camp begins. Any class or band changes MUST BE requested no later than the end of the day on Monday each week.
No damage to campus property or you will be responsible for repair, replacement, or cleaning costs.
No cell phones allowed at camp or during concerts.
Absolutely NO skateboarding on campus (due to our insurance agreements with the campuses we rent, we cannot allow students to skateboard).
Campers are responsible for their own equipment and possessions (drumsticks, guitars, gig bags, cords, textbooks, lunchboxes, clothing, etc.). Make sure when you leave an area you have all of your things with you. DayJams will not be held responsible for theft or damage to property. Campers MUST LABEL all belongings.
Campers must sign in and out at the Registration desk each morning. Camp Director must be notified if you are leaving early, going to be absent, or are being picked up by anyone other than a parent or carpool driver.
DayJams reserves the right to expel a student without refund for any behavior that is detrimental to the running of the program, or if camper mistreats fellow campers, staff, or the facility.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellation requests must be received in writing prior to June 1, 2008. DayJams will retain a $110 cancellation fee and will refund any remaining balance. After June 1, 2008, tuition fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. Early Enrolled campers are entitled to a full refund if cancellation is received prior to June 1, 2008. (Early Enrollment deadline was December 31, 2007).
If your child becomes ill or has an accident within one week prior to your camp start date, inhibiting the child from attending camp, you may cancel, but DayJams will retain a $110 cancellation fee OR you may opt to receive a full tuition paid credit for the following camp season (applicable for DayJams or National Guitar Workshop). A SIGNED NOTE FROM YOUR PHYSICIAN STATING THAT THE CAMPER IS UNABLE TO ATTEND MUST BE PROVIDED IN ORDER FOR THIS REFUND OPTION TO BE CONSIDERED. If a camper withdraws from camp because of (1) homesickness; (2) refusal to participate in the normal activities of the camp; (3) evidence that some emotional or physical problem which predates their arrival at camp results in the lack of adjustment to camp and/or adversely effects the health and well being of other campers, there shall be NO REFUND.
If a camper is requested by the Camp Director to leave camp because of violation of Camper Code of Conduct or because of personal conduct that interferes with the health or welfare of himself or herself or others, then no refunds will be made.
Camper Insurance: We’ve found several companies that insure campers’ tuition. These companies may cover your tuition in cases where we will not extend a refund to you. Check out: www.CampProtector.com, www.youth-studentplans.com and www.insuretuition.com/home.html
